the upgrade created an Accounts file on the desktop, but the file wouldn't open and crashed and crashed and crashed. Fortunately, I had done a full SuperDuper! backup yesterday and simply re-wrote my HD from the SD file.

So that's where I stand now.

Awaiting instructions, Captain.

Would you be willing to get the crash to happen again and then send the full text of the crash report over to us at support@splasm.com?

We'll help get this sorted out right away. Thanks!

We got a couple of crash reports from other users and figured out there there were two cases in Schedules that could lead to a crash. The fixes are part of the latest 2.5 build, now available. Can you check for updates from inside the app, download the latest 2.5 disk image, and see if that helps? If not, the best thing is for us to get a crash report like Allan suggested. Thanks!

We both typed together. Yes, that fixed it.

I tried it again and it works fine now. The first attempt was when I got the notice that a new version was available, and it then created the Accounts file on the desktop and it crashed. I put the computer back to 5.2 from the SD backup and this time, I installed the update from the Check for Updates menu.

The difference, I think, is that I do nor recall the first time actually downloading and installing the new app, just creating the file on the desktop.

So, all seems well although I will leave today's SD backup in place for a few days!

I see at least one of my suggestions in place.

Sorry for bugging you so much, but glad things are moving along.

Glad things are working well now.

I think you've noticed we've had to go back to disk images for each update. That's a sandboxing bonus. Sandboxed apps can't overwrite themselves so we've lost the ability to download updates and install them for our users. It'll work for the update to 2.5, but once 2.5 is installed, when new updates are available, the user will only have the "Learn More" option instead of "Install". That's why the process was a little different this morning.

Thanks for making this one easy - and for noticing things are moving :).
