When I play the audiobooks I've created on my ipod, the chapter breaks show up, but the names of the chapters do not.

When I check the "Chapters" menu in itunes the chapter names are listed, but they're not showing up on my ipod. It's a 4g iPod.

I don't think they show up at all. Even with my Audible books, I can skip chapters but I'm pretty sure they don't display names on the iPod like they do in iTunes

It depends what iPod you have. My iPod Nano from about 4 years ago shows visual chapter markings, but not chapter names.

The full iPod I bought about 4 months ago shows all the chapter names in a nice, clear manner.

My guess is you have an older iPod that can't display the names.
