Hello friends!
I've no explanation for how the original post got shuffled and we didn't reply. In general, we're cranking out replies to email support, usually less than an hour after receipt, answering our support line, and working on improvements to all of our applications every weekday. Allan has posted replies several times in the past few months, so this message really did just fly under the radar. This past week, however, was a vacation week and I just checked in and happened upon this message. I apologize that no one has replied with some help and vow to ensure we check the forums for new messages at least once per weekday going forward. To reply to the original message:

No matter what I do, I cannot get iTunes to show the resulting file with chapters and next/back shuttle controls just skip to other books.
Is there a setting I'm missing? I looked at a few other thread like this, but don't seem to see what I could be doing wrong.
iTunes will show chapter stops in a
"Chapters" menu, to the right of the
Window menu, when an audiobook is actually being played. Begin playback of an audiobook in iTunes, then look to the right of the
Window menu at the top of your screen and you'll see the
Chapters menu.
And on to the question about audiobooks, chapter stops, and iPod Classic:
Quote:
After I upgraded to Mac OS 10.15 and AudioBook Builder V 2.1 (284) I no longer have chapters in my books either. I am using iPod classics for my Audio Books and "restored" them when I started using the new Mac OS, now even the Audio Books that I built prior to the software upgrade no longer have chapters.
iPod Classic never had the ability to show a list of chapters - only tick marks on the playback scrub/progress bar that you could switch between with the Skip Backward/Forward buttons. iOS devices brought in the ability to display a list of chapters so you could begin playback at any particular chapter. An upgrade to Catalina wouldn't change the audiobooks you'd already built, or the software on an iPod, so for the chapters to disappear we'd first wonder, are there really chapters in the file to begin with?
