To restore you only need to quit CheckBook and copy your backup to the /Users/[your username here]/Library/CheckBook/ folder and make sure it is named Accounts.plist. There will be a file of that name there already - you can safely remove it first. Launch CheckBook and the data should appear just as it did on your previous Mac. Let us know how things turn out!
That did it, thank you so much for explaing that. I was trying to "import" my backup file, haha...
I cannot wait for CheckBook 2.0!
