I would like to see a simple Pie Chart function, specifically for (but not limited to) Expenses. This form of visual provides a more meaningful display, giving a quick and simple account of the state of one's finances.

Pie charts really are great!

We'll bump it up on the request list. Thanks!

Any news on what priority this has been given?

Unfortunately, we've only gotten 13 request for adding pie charts to CheckBook. To be honest, that puts it at kind of a low priority when we have stuff like check printing sitting at the top of the list with almost 200 requests. That's not to say that we're not looking into it, it's just that it's not yet slated for a particular update yet. It could very well be something for a 3.x release.

Right now, our top priorities are rolling out syncing capabilities in version 2.5 to pave the way for our forthcoming iOS app. After that, check printing will surely be the main attraction for version 2.6.

So, yeah, it could be a while. I hope you can continue to hang in there!

Understood. Meanwhile, porting information into excel for charts is doable, albeit a few too many extra steps, since the data is there in Checkbook.

Thanks for the reply,
Vinnie
