By default OS X opens text files with TextEdit. Why use an editor when you only want to view a file? I would like a simple text viewer for ascii text such as readme's without the danger of accidently overwriting the file (a better version of 'more'?)
Even better would be a viewer which recognised file types, e.g. text, picture, audio etc and opened the file appropriately. Anybody familiar with the Amiga program 'Multiview' will know what I'm after
Is there such a program on the Mac?
