I recently bought CheckBook Pro and do like the overall simplicity of the app and the ability to do things quickly.
There is one thing I would find really useful though and that would be
the integrated display of a few quick calculations when selecting several transactions.
This would be similar to Excel which displays a sum and count of whatever cells you're selecting in the app's bottom bar.
Often times I select transactions from a vendor or a category and I simply want to know at a glance how much these transactions add up to (without going into reports).
Just to illustrate, I made a quick & dirty mockup of what I mean:
In this example, if I select 6 transactions in the main window, it would display these 6 quick calcs in the bottom bar:
Count of debit transactions: 4
Sum of debit transactions: $1,200
Count of credit transactions: 2
Sum of debit transactions: $500
Total count of transactions: 6
Total net: -$700
I hope that feature can find its way into a future release
