I'm appreciating the multiple currencies and multiple accounts features of Checkbook Pro. I'm currently tracking eight bank accounts in two currencies, for myself, my wife and my small business, so I've wondered sometimes how I ever got along without this!
With this many accounts I'm looking for ways of getting an overview of all that's going on. Here's a few ideas, which I think could also be useful for others.
1 - While viewing the transactions within an account, there's a balance figure that can be customized in several ways: Balance, Today's total, Deposits Total and so on. I'd love to see a similar flexibility in the figures displayed for each of the accounts. Mostly I'm eager to see Today's total supported there, so I can see where things are at the moment, but other options could also be useful at times.
2 - SmartFolders such as "All Accounts" are powerful and useful, but they could be much more useful with a few additional options. In my case I'm wanting to create smart folders for particular groups of accounts, so that I can see what's going on with all my wife's accounts, my own accounts, my business accounts, all US$ accounts, and so on. This could be done by adding a few new kinds of criteria in the smart folder (like "account name contains keyword" or "account currency is US$"), or by picking out the different accounts that go into the group (account is _____). However it's implemented, it would be a powerful thing to be able to do.
Thanks!
