I keep my accounts using Checkbook Pro. What I also now need to do is keep a separate set of accounts, on behalf of my mother, who was recently widowed. Every method I have tried however has resulted in my own accounts being opened - when what I wanted was a fresh start. Help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

What I have used in the past is another user account or create a new user account in Os X to manage another set of CheckBook accounts. If you turn on fast user switching in the accounts pane of the system preferences, you can flip between user accounts and access multiple sets of CheckBook accounts.

Duh! Why didn't I think of that! It's worked a treat. :D

Many thanks,

Alan

One tip I would suggest is to always save your accounts via the file menu before you switch back to your other user account, in case of a power outage or a computer lockup. You dont want to lose any work you had done on the other user account because it had been left open and unsaved for days on end.
