Newbie here. I've searched this forum for advice about managing the font for printing checks, but haven't found an answer. I'm fine with the default, except for the 10-point size. I've found a similar issue on this forum in a query from 2008, and the Splasm engineer helpfully posted,
Quote:
"In the Print dialog window there should be a section for CheckBook with two choices - "Scale data to fit page width", which will disregard your font settings, and "Use Entry font size", which should print using the 18-point setting you've selected. Can you try the "Use Entry font size" option and see what happens?"
Yes, I can change the Entry font size, but I find no such section in the Print dialog window. Am I missing something? (I'm using Sonoma 14.1.2 with CheckBook Pro 2.7.27.) Thanks for any help!

All existing Templates in CheckBook Pro use a fixed font size. But, it’s possible to create a custom template and set the font size to whatever you’d like. The first one you create will be a duplicate of the template you have selected, so you should only have to change the font size while you’re in the template editor. Here’s what to do:

To create a custom check template

1. Go to the File menu and click the Print Checks… menu item. The Print Checks window will appear.

2. Click the checkmark next to one or more Entries, then click the Print… button at the bottom right corner of the window. A print panel will appear.

3. Hold the Option key on your keyboard while, in the right half of the window, you click the Template button to reveal a menu. Click the Manage Templates… option.

You’re on your way from there. Templates have their own Font Size option that can be set in the top-right portion of the Template editor window. But, each element in the template can also override that with its own font size. Highlight an element to see its settings on the right side of the window, then look for the Font Size option.

The Template button can be found right toward the middle of the Print window. Here's a screenshot to help out:

If you see "> CheckBook Pro" there, you may just need to click to expand the CheckBook Pro section of options. Also, supposing you're on an older OS version, there's a chance you'll need to click "Show Details", first and foremost, to reveal all options.

Thanks... I was looking for something beyond the big TEMPLATES button in the middle of the screen :D

When I discovered it, you had not replied, so I deleted my post... but thanks for the answer.
