Hi there,

Is it possible to import transfers via a .csv import file? I'm using CheckBook Pro 2.6.2 and trying to import my data from another program which includes a bunch of transfers from one account to another. I tried creating a transfer manually and then exporting it, changing the date on the exported file and re-importing it. It imports without errors except that it isn't linking to the other account so only the balance in the account I'm importing to is updated.

Thanks,
Jim

I tried this a few years back and it really didn’t work. Importing transfers, if I remember correctly, only worked on the debit side of things. I use a mobile checking account app when I am overseas—as I am now—and then I do an export/import of .qif files. When I want to “transfer” I just do two separate entries, a withdrawal from one account and a deposit into the other. This works fine when importing into CBP.
