I have just downloaded Checkbook for a trial as I am new to Macs and need a checkbook program to replace my Quicken on Windows. I like the Checkbook program and have no trouble downloading from Bank of America in the QIF format, however the columns on the Checkbook ledger are not wide enough to accomodate sufficient information from the bank. I am unable to identify a number of transaction for this reason. Can specific columns be made wider or is there another solution?

With the window open, click and hold your mouse button at the edge of the box with the column name. An arrow will appear and you can drag the arrow to decrease or increase the width.

A variation which might by of use in some cases is to go to the view menu, select the column choice and then uncheck any columns in which there are no entries. Using a combination of these two usually will provide sufficient width.

Hope this helps
