Entries that are entered in € are reported with the same number, but with the dollar sign in front of it, unconverted to the new currency.

So, if I have an entry for 14.50 €, and I make a report in dollars, than it is listed as $14.50 in the report. This is despite the fact that the exchange rate for the account is listed at 1.32 under "Edit all accounts".

Please fix asap as our reports for our company are currently in error.

Good catch! It looks like the issue is just when displaying the currency symbol next to amounts in the Entry Details. The subtotals will still factor in those Entry amounts at the exchanged rate (in your case, the correct dollar amounts converted from Euro Entries). No matter the case, that'll all be fixed in the next update! Thanks!

Actually in fact, it didn't convert the amounts. It just placed the dollar symbol in front of the Euro number. Please look at it again. Our accountant caught the error. I think it also might be a factor where you have a report with a mix of currencies listed. So if you have both dollars and Euros itemized, and doesn't actually convert the Euro number to dollars.

Yes, it's true that the values show as the unconverted amount but with the base currency symbol—that's in the Entry Details display, though. What we're seeing is that the subtotals factor in those Entries with the correct, converted Amounts. For example, a dollar Account has a debit input for $5 and a Euro Account has a deposit for €5 input—in the resulting All Accounts Summary, the Entry details will show the Euro Deposit as $5 but the subtotals factor in the correct, converted 7.09 (5 times the 1.41760 exchange rate) amount.

If that doesn't seem to be the case for you there, attach a screenshot to your reply post in order to show us what you mean.

Yes. You are correct.

So, the way the all account summary works, it retains the € amount (while having the $ sign at this point) in the itemized list, but when it subtotals it, it converts it to the dollar amount. Is this correct?

So that all that needs to be changed is to put the correct currency symbol in the itemized list.

I don't suppose there isn't the possibility of adding the option of converting the amounts to a particular currency when reporting? So, all the Euro amounts would be converted to dollars in the itemized lists?

You're exactly right: it's the incorrect currency symbol in the Entry Details list (that will be fixed in the next update) and the subtotals use the converted values.

Also, unfortunately, it's not currently possible to convert things in the Entry Details, as that will always show the original Entry information. We could certainly look into adding that option to a future release, though.

Dear Splasm… when do you intend to update Checkbook Pro? Cheers.
