I have 10.4.9 and I will be reformating my ibook and going back to 10.2.8. Will I be able to use my checkbooks account data that I used with 10.4.9 with 10.2.8?

Yes, CheckBook 1.x will work with Mac OS X 10.2.8 so you won't lose your Accounts.

Before you reformat create a backup of your Accounts by launching CheckBook and selecting "Backup Accounts..." from the File menu at the top left corner of your screen. Make sure you save the backup on an external drive or disc, such as a USB flash drive or CD-R. When your downgrade is complete and CheckBook is reinstalled, launch CheckBook, re-enter your serial number, quit, move /Users/[your username here]/Library/CheckBook/Accounts.plist to the Trash, then copy your backup to the /Users/[your username here]/Library/CheckBook/ folder and make sure it is named "Accounts.plist". Launch CheckBook and your data should appear intact. If you need a hand restoring the data feel free to call us at 800-721-5492 any weekday between 9am and 6pm CST.
