I've just bought a copy of CheckBook and overall I'm delighted. I do have one problem, though. I've imported all my past transactions from MoneyDance which I've been using up to now. The date for those transactions displays in CheckBook as dd/mm/yyyy. When I import a new set of transactions from my banking website, the date of those transactions displays as yy/mm/dd. What's the best way of dealing with this?

Have you already imported from both MoneyDance and your bank? If so, you'll need to clean up the group of Entries with the wrong date format, then make sure when you import the date format option is set to the best option.

As you're importing you have the opportunity to change the way CheckBook reads the date format from the incoming QIF or text file. Did you change the date format when you imported from either MoneyDance or your online bank? Once the data is imported, there's no way to go back - the dates are set in each Entry and the only way to fix incorrect dates is to change each Entry by hand or remove the errant Entries and re-import with the correct date format.

Thanks for your message. I've now solved the problem. Very pleased with CheckBook.
