How do I make Checkbook 2.0.4 available for two users on one MacBook?
Is there a way that my wife can log onto our MacBook as a user and access the same Checkbook program I use?
Now, I log on to access Checkbook. She, on the other hand, logs on and does not have access to Checkbook.
I thought that entering the serial number in my wife's log on would allow her access to checkbook, but it doesn't work. The program appears without data.

Is the "Family" registration the answer to enjoying a "joint" Checkbook experience where either of us can utilize Checkbook on one MacBook? I see that the family registration offers use on multiple machines, but I'm not clear about multiple users on one machine.

Please advise,
Michael

Michael,

CheckBook is designed to maintain separate user data for each user on Os X. This way multiple people can use the same computer to each keep track of their finances. If both of you are going to maintain the same account, you may want to try creating a shared user on your machine that you can log into while managing your finances. With fast user switching enabled, you could log in and out of this account fairly easily without disturbing your workflow.

Saving an account file in a shareable location may be something we look at for a future revision of CheckBook.
