I recently generated a huge audiobook with lots of chapters. Unfortunately each chapter starts with the name of the album which leads to very long chapternames, while the interesting part of the name (ID3 Tag "Song Title") is at the very end. Therefore it is very difficult to navigate the iPod (Nano 4G) chapterlist, cause each visible line on the screen starts the same:
"Harry Potter und die Hei..."
"Harry Potter und die Hei..."
"Harry Potter und die Hei..."
...

The complete chaptername looks like this:
"Harry Potter und die Heiligtümer des Todes - CD 02 - 12 - Gefallene Krieger"

How can i suppress the Album Name when buliding the ABB project file? Did I overlook s.th.?

Which ID3 tags are used to generate the chapter names? Is there a possibility to configure this behaviour in program settings?

Wow, that's pretty cool that you are able to compile your very own audio books. As far as your question is concerened however I can't help you. Sorry. Still though that's awesome.

You cant edit the chapter tags after you have build your audiobook, well maybe you can, but you cant in iTunes.
You should have changed the Chapters names when you were building the audiobook in ABB.
(you might be able to use the ChapterTool via command line to change the chapter names now, but I'm not sure..)
The Chapter names dont show/use the ID3 tags, the Chapter names are merely what you put in them in ABB. So you should rebuild the audiobook and then only use the chapter anmes (and perhaps number) as chapter name.

MetaX does it..

Although they market it as a TAG editor for video files... it edits even AudioBooks.

I just used it to modify the Chapter Names of my Harry Potter AudioBooks... works just fine.

And... it's free too!

Get it HERE!.
