As a long-time user of Audiobook Builder and a Mac developer, I am not sure if anyone else has noticed yet the AB simply refuses to load on the first developer edition of El Capitan. If there's anyone out there in the firm working on a beta of the next release, I would be happy to compatibility test it for you.

We've tried out El Capitan a bit and did see that there were issues using Audiobook Builder on that forthcoming OS. We should have an update for the application ready right around the time when that OS is officially released to the public, though, to ensure compatibility.

Also, thanks for the offer to help with beta testing! We'll let you know if we need additional testers.

El Capitan was released yesterday to the general public. Audiobook Builder is still not compatible. Any update on when a compatible version will be released?

We isolated the issue with Audiobook Builder launching on El Capitan not too long ago and so have a new version in the works that’s compatible with the new Apple operating system. If you’d like to install a pre-release version of that upcoming Audiobook Builder update, here’s where you can go to download a copy: http://splasm.com/special/audiobookbuil ... .5.4b4.zip .

Beta works fine – it starts, you can add files – but you can't generate an audiobook! The button simply didn't do anything (the dialog doesn't switch).

Kind regards
Henning

So, you're saying that clicking 'Build Audiobook' doesn't begin the build process that generates a new file? Builds are working as expected to here in our tests and we haven't received reports from other users that aren't able to build, so the issue may be unique to your Mac. Would you be willing to reproduce the issue and then generate a System Information report to send over to us? This report may provide an explanation. You can create one of these reports by clicking the Finder icon in your Dock, going to the Go menu at the top of your screen, clicking the Utilities menu item, opening System Information.app, then going to the File menu and clicking the Save... menu item. Attach the resulting file to an email to us at support@splasm.com and we'll have a look.
