Splasm Software Discussions

Hi,
I am trying to buy Audiobook Builder and have a question about your sales process. When I go to check out I am getting charged sales tax when I live in Illinois. Is there something wrong with the checkout? I see that Splasm is located in Alabama so why is there tax? I know this may seem like a silly question for support but where else am I supposed to ask?

In the US our online store provider, eSellerate, is required to charge sales tax in the states where they or their servers are physically located, which includes Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Georgia, Minnesota, Nebraska and Utah. Orders from customers residing in these states are subject to sales tax. eSellerate also collects VAT (value-added tax) for orders received from customers residing in the European Union.
