Post subject:  New problem of Playback on iPhone

I successfully transfered Two Audiobooks which were on CDs to my iPhone (each about 10 hours in length). I have recently tried to build three additional Audiobooks via Audiobook Builder and add to my iPhone. All three Audiobooks were in excess of 12 hours and ended up building in two Parts. Problem is that I only get the first few seconds of the play back and it just ends. Results are the same whether I use the earpods or try with speaker. I have trashed all three and rebuilt from scratch (loading each cd etc.). Massively time consuming and extremely frustrating when the results of the rebuild happen to be the same as for the original attempts. My first two books, which build and played successfully were completed and loaded under the 1.0 version of the iPhone software/firmware. I have upgraded to the 2.0.2 software/firmware. The original two still play with no problems but can't seem to build and successfully play anything since the original two books. I don't know if this is a length problem (>12 hour books) or an iPhone 2.0.2 issue or what. Just know that I'm investing a lot of time with no reward (listening to my audiobooks on my iPhone). Any assistance greatly appreciated.

This relates to the problem with firmware 2.0 on the iPod touch and iPhone breaking playback of some audiobooks. The thread for this discussion is here: http://www.splasm.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=589

We have just released Audiobook Builder 1.0.11 that fixes this issue. If you still have the project files for these books, you can simply rebuild the book using 1.0.11, and replace the audiobook on your ipod with the copy you just newly created. For those who no longer have those project files and need to adjust existing audiobooks to work on the new iPod touch and iPhone firmware, we will have a utility available for download on the Audiobook Builder Downloads page shortly.
