Post subject:  Tracks vs. Chapters

I have downloaded an audiobook with 149 tracks from eMusic. The book itself has 68 chapters. Does ABB have a way to determine which tracks should be combined to match the actual chapters in the book? I can't figure out how to do this.

Thanks from a newbie!

Sometimes vendors are nice enough to give track names that let you know this. If they don't, the only way to find out (that I know of) is by listening to the tracks. Fortunately you can do this within ABB. There is a "play" button in the chapter list window that will let you play individual tracks. When you find one that starts a chapter, you can retitle the track to something that makes this clear (click the "details" triangle to get the text box for this). Then you can join that track to all the tracks that follow until the next "beginning of chapter" track.

Yes and so far you can not split audiofiles in ABB, if a new chapter were to start in the middle of a file.. you would have to either choose the beginning or the nezt file as the new chapter start, or use something like quicktime to cut the file up into more pieces
