http://us.creative.com/products/product ... dp0t740184 I'm wondering if they work with ABB created files (they should since it handles audible). Specifically if they play without the same place loosing bug iPod has. A $99 4GB player would be great for audiobooks. |

My understanding is that the two are not related. Basically... An Audible file (.aa) is a DRM container around either MP3 or the ACELP Speech Codec. On the other hand M4B files are MPEG-4 with extra streams beyond the audio that contain bookmarking and chapter information. My Zen Jukebox Xtra only supports WMA, WAV, MP3 and Audible. It doesn't support MPEG-4. Now I can't speak for later products in the Zen lineup but in my case I listen to M4B audiobooks on an iPod. (I may have vastly oversimplified but this is my level of understanding) Matt |
