I saved my book in my desktop. I can not figure how I know get it to iTunes.
When I added the cd's it asked if I wanted to add them in iTunes. At that time I said no. Should I do them over and hit yes?
Thank you for any help.
Tina

When adding a CD, hitting Yes for adding to iTunes will just add the individual files off your Audiobook CD to the Music section instead of to your Audiobook Builder project. To complete your Audiobook Builder Project build such that the final Audiobook with Chapters gets added automatically to iTunes in the Books section, ensure that you've hit the 'Build Audiobook' button in the Finish section of Audiobook Builder. It sounds like just your Project file might've all that got saved to your Desktop meaning the entire build process wasn't completed. You'll know you're truly done when the 'Build Complete' message appears in Audiobook Builder.

Supposing it's already the actual audiobook that was saved to your Desktop (with a .m4b file extension), perhaps ensure that your Books section is turned on in iTunes so that it'll definitely be made visible. For that, choose 'Preferences...' from the iTunes menu at the top of the screen. And then, add a check to the box beside Books.

Thanks Allan,
I did not get the "Build complete" message, So I must have goofed there. I also did not go to preferences to be sure Books was added. I will work on those 2 things and see if it works and will reply back with how I manage with it.
Thanks again
Tina

me again. Still no luck
In preferences I have books checked.
When I hit the build button I then hit ok and never get a complete message.
I can play the book from the file on the desktop but not in iTunes.
I go to add to library in itunes and try to import from the desktop and get an error message that says .abbuilder can not be importerd due to an unknown error (.50)
Any ideas?
Thanks
Tina

It's great to hear that you were able to get your Audiobook built! Earlier, you were working with the Audiobook Builder project fileā€”that's what has the .abbuilder file extension. Those project files are used by Audiobook Builder to store everything you get setup in the application as far as the arrangement of files and Build settings so that you can later return to a project, before or after it's built.

Anyway, for future completed Audiobook projects, just be sure to click the Finish button at the bottom of the window and then hit 'Build Audiobook' to fully wrap things up. Upon receiving that Completed message, you'll know your done and a file with either a .m4b or .m4a file extension will show up at your chosen save location and in iTunes.
