New customer of Audio Builder and I'm trying to get my MP3 files into iTunes as Audiobooks and I get the project setup and drag the MP3 files onto the window and about 7 times out of 10, it hangs on one particular file. So I then quit everything and drag 1 by 1 and get past the same file, and end up hanging on other files.

Looking for some insight or ideas here. The MP3 files play just fine, so I'm pretty confident that it isn't the files.

Thanks!

You can try
- trashing the audiobook builder preferences.
- make a new project file
- reencode the mp3 files in iTunes, try reencoding to MP3 and/or AAC
- see if you actually have enough space left for it to copy the files to the project file
- try it with other mp3 files, from another book or just music, just to test it..

Ok, I converted the MP3 to AAC and it worked fine with zero issues, seems to be either something with the MP3 format or the file itself. I checked the troublesome file in AAC and it seems to play fine vs MP3 (which also played fine).

Not sure what the deal was, but converting from MP3 to AAC seemed tofix my issue.

Thanks.

I have the same trouble with my MP3-Files like barddzen. I also have to convert first all my MP3-Files to AAC before I can import them without "locks" to Audiobook Builder.

I work under 10.5.2 ...

Latest update, I still haven't found a way around this, I have to convert to AAC and everything works fine.
