I get audiobooks from a couple of commercial services (eMusic and Naxos Audiobooks primarily), and find that Audiobook Builder works very well as a part of this process. Both sites set up their audiobooks as a folder with one file per track: so that there are sometimes hundreds of individual files to process. I load the tracks into ABB, paste in the cover art from the PDF booklet usually included, and I'm on my way.
I've managed to adapt to the long-documented problem (on Apple's part) regarding bookmarks and playback on AAC files above a certain length. I set my maximum part size to 2 hr 15 min and live with the larger number of parts than I'd prefer: four or five parts is better that 185 individual tracks. This seems to work pretty well.
This is not a problem report -- just an expression of appreciation.
