Hi guys,

ABB will not load any files I purchase from Audible.com. It has only recently started doing this. Every time I try to load a file I get a non-specific error saying that ABB cannot load the data.

I bought ABB to process my Audible purchases into smaller "bite-size" chapters. I also bought it because an ABB processed file can be converted into mp3 or m4a which, when loaded onto a iPod, shows up in the music category.

We all know how rubbish the ipod files audiobooks. Th only way to make sense of the files is to treate them as music files.

Any suggestions as to why ABB doesn't load my .aa files anymore?

Please help

Kaiser

I think we got your same question answered via email support, but I wanted to post the same reply here as well for any other user that might be curious about this sort of thing...

I'm not sure how Audible.com's .aa files could've worked in Audiobook Builder before because support for them is not something we took out recently - it was never able to load them in any version. These files are in a proprietary format that includes digital rights management to prevent unauthorized apps from reading and editing their data. If we tried to work around the digital rights management we'd expect legal action from Audible.com, so we won't be able to add support for .aa files in a future release.

Is it possible you've used another app to work with these files in the past? I believe there's at least one out there that does convert .aa files into something useful, though I can't recall its name.
