Hi,

just bought an iPod touch the other day. Here is what I do:

* Listen to an audiobook (created with AB)
* Pause it
* Listen to some music
* Go back to the previously paused audiobook
* It starts playing at the correct position for about 1-3 seconds
* The audiobook resets and starts from the beginning again

This is very annoying since you have to remember where you left off every time.

Only work around I found so far:

* Choose a different audiobook
* Wait until it starts from the beginning
* Switch to the desired audiobook
-> Everything works fine

Is this a AB problem (I only have audiobooks created with AB) or a iPod touch problem? Anyone else having this?

Ok, the strangest thing just happened. I synced my iPod touch for the second time since I have it and the problem seems to have gone. Hopefully for good.

Unfortunately, it is still there :(

Any idea what the problem could be?

It sounds like the Touch is affected by the same skipping/returning to the main menu issue as previous iPods. See http://www.splasm.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=276 . What's peculiar is we filed a bug report on this with Apple many months before both the iPhone and iPod Touch were rolled out, along with steps to reproduce the issue with just plain MPEG-4 audio files and iTunes, completely independent of Audiobook Builder.

Fortunately, the latest firmware update seems to do the trick. Haven't had any"lost" bookmarks since the update.

Hi all,
just wanted to say: I was very disappointed with this software using my iPod 5G. Exactly the same problem as discribed in this thread. Now, on my new iPod Touch, everything works perfectly.

Regards
Kalle
