Hello,
I recently discovered all the free audiobooks available through LibriVox. I downloaded a book by subscribing to the podcast via iTunes. Each track (chapter) came as a seperated podcast. When I went to build the project in ABB after highlighting the 62 chapters of the book it build the book backwards (ie chapter 62 is the first one and chapter 1 is the last). I had to reorder the chapters by hand. How can I avoid this in the future? Thanks for any help.

Were the tracks in reverse order in iTunes? Audiobook Builder should bring in iTunes tracks in the same order that they're listed in iTunes. Before importing from iTunes you could try reversing the sort order. That should do the trick.

Hi Keith,
It doesn't seem to matter what sort order I put the files in in iTunes, either way first to last or last to first when I build it in ABB the files (chapters) come in last to first. I can import the chapters one at a time but it is time consuming as is reordering after import.

It looks like this is an issue between the Podcasts section in iTunes and AppleScript. In the Music section, and in regular playlists and smart playlists, the sort order is correct in iTunes' response to our request for the current selection. That's not true with the Podcasts section of the Library. In fact, you can't even sort Podcasts by anything but release date, making that part of the Library seem a bit...hokey. The quick workaround is to make a smart playlist with a rule set up for "Podcast" "is true". That should give you a playlist where you can sort by any column header and the sort order is properly reported when applications request the current selection via AppleScript.
