I just bought AudioBook Builder and have been unsuccessful in my first attempt to pull in CDs for one of my son's Books. We're getting the error:

Audiobook Builder 1.5.3
Unable to copy a temporary file
Source: /Volumes/The Heroes Of Olympus, Book One: The Lost Hero (Disc 1)/9 Chapter 2d.aiff
Destination: /var/folders/zL/zL6KoUPJ2RaKVE+1YvDaYU+++TU/-Tmp-/.audiobookbuildercdimporttemp.8
File error: -128

Anyone know what this means?

I think we got you taken care of through email support, but for the benefit of other users on the forum who may encounter the same problem, here's the deal... Error -128 usually means a disk I/O error - in other words, the Mac is having trouble reading from a CD. This could be due to a scratched or dirty CD, so try cleaning the problem discs before attempting the import again.

If cleaning doesn't do the trick, iTunes does tend to handle damaged CD's a little better. So, with Error Correction turned on in the Preferences, you can try to import the CD in to iTunes and then the ripped audio files can be dragged in to the Audiobook Builder project.
