I usually use Audiobuilder from my own screen, but my husband asked me to add a book to his iTunes account. I opened Audiobuilder from his page and was prompted to enter the serial number. I skipped that part while I loaded on the cd's, then tried to finish creating the audio book. It wouldn't let me, so I went back and it is now registered, (though it has been registered on my page for a while.) Not sure if that is relevant to the problem I am now having. This is the error message that keeps coming up, and not sure what settings need to be changed: Audiobook Builder 1.5.3
Processing Audiobook
The Audiobook Builder folder inside your iTunes Media folder is not writable

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

It sounds like your husband's User account does not have permission to write to the Audiobook Builder folder in the iTunes Media Folder. You can check the permissions by, first, navigating to the folder in question. So open up his Home folder and then go into Music->iTunes->iTunes Media->Audiobook Builder.

With the Audiobook Builder folder selected, choose 'Get Info' from the File menu at the top of the screen. Now, at the bottom of the window that opens, expand the Sharing & Permissions section by clicking on the small black arrow beside it. Look beside you and your husband's User names and click on what's under the Privilege column and change it to 'Read & Write', if it doesn't already say it. You may have to unlock the folder by clicking on the lock symbol in the bottom right corner and typing in the required User password.

Once the permissions are set, you should no problem finishing up that Audiobook Build!
