Post subject:  Error importing Audiobook CD

I just purchased Audiobook Builder and am trying to get started importing some audiobooks. The very first CD I tried I got this error:

Audiobook Builder 1.5.2
Importing
Unable to copy a temporary file
Source: /Volumes/The Ark/1 The Ark Disc 01 Track 01.aiff
Destination: /var/folders/AA/AAeqJcSVGbq1OUiN7GuJ1++++TI/-Tmp-/.audiobookbuildercdimporttemp.0
File error: -128

Any thoughts as to how to correct this and move forward?
Thanks
Al

These types of errors are usually due to Audiobook Builder having trouble getting the data off of a CD with dirt, scratches or damage. You can try cleaning the CD and then try importing again. If that doesn't help, the next best thing is to import the CD using iTunes with Error correction turned on. You can turn error correction on in iTunes preferences, under import settings. Once imported into iTunes, you can find those tracks in your library and drag them into your Audiobook Builder project. You may want to verify that all of your data is there and there is no sections of silence or missing tracks.

@Randy K. Are there any plans to add error correction feature to Audiobook Builder? It would be nice to not have to deal with 2 applications in order to get an audiobook digitized. Is there currently a way to verify if there are any skips/hisses/clicks on the book that you have already ripped?

We don't currently have any immediate plans to incorporate a similar Error Correction feature into Audiobook Builder, but we may look into it later on. I'll definitely bump it up on the request list.

Also, at this time, Audiobook Builder isn't capable of notifying you when a skip or hiss has been ripped, but we can certainly look into that too.

Please add the error correction.
