Not directly an ABB issue but I'm sure others here are tired of this and hopefully someone has a fix.

How can I get iTunes to ignore that I've inserted a CD which ripping to ABB. As I understand it, ABB doesn't really use iTunes (at least not until the tail end of the process.) I'd like to tell iTunes to ignore CDs so that when I insert a new one for an ABB rip, iTunes doesn't pop open and stop doing what I was already doing in iTunes.

iTunes preferences doesn't help. System preferences would allow me to ignore CDs altogether but I still need ABB to find them. There's got to be a system tweak somewhere for this. Anyone?

I think the best you can do is tell iTunes to 'Show CD' and tell System Preferences to 'Ignore'. It's a little confusing but 'ignore' in this case means 'don't do anything after mounting the disc' - namely, don't open iTunes in front of everything else. Audiobook Builder just needs the disc to be mounted to do its thing. Sadly, I don't think you can get iTunes to not at least show the newly inserted disc, which will interrupt what you're doing in iTunes by selecting the disc in Devices.
