you should still be safe on older iPods. we used a 12 hour hard limit before because that was the maximum file length at maximum quality settings. We wanted to keep it simple. We then added the ability to adjust your build quality mid-project, so we gave the user more control relating the part length. Now Audiobook Builder can adjust the part size according to your quality. If you use high quality, you can have part sizes up to 13 hours. Normal quality yields 18 hour parts and Low quality yields up to 27 hour parts.
These part sizes are due to the limitation that have always been present in the 32 bit version of QuickTime relating to sample sizes. We just gave the user more control over the part settings.
