Code:
Computer:
MacBook Pros, Core 2 Duo CPU, 8GB RAM
OS:
    Mac OS X 10.6.3
File System:
    AMCC/3Ware 9650SE Hardware Raid 6, 8 320 GB disks
FreeNAS 0.7RC2 (revision 4910),  supporting AFP (Apple Filing Protocol) 3.x via Netatalk.

The Raid houses my family's iTunes repository.

My wife wanted to have our audio books available on her iPhone so I bought ABB and used it to rip the audio book.

Imagine my surprise when my wife could not find the file where I had told ABB to put it on the raid. Imagine my further surprise when I could not find the file either, even though the info for the audio book in iTunes said that the file was in the expected place.

I discovered that the file IS there, but its invisibility flag was set. I had to fix the problem by running "setfile -a v <fileName>" in the Terminal.

How can I prevent ABB from creating invisible audio book files so I don't have to fix each file after I create it?

Audiobook Builder isn't explicitly setting its output to be invisible. Can you see the output if you set your preferences to save to your Desktop folder? If so, I think the underlying issue is likely related to accessing the FreeNAS filesystem with AFP. Can you look at http://sourceforge.net/apps/phpbb/freen ... f=50&t=393 and see if the suggestions there help?

Selecting the "noadouble" option and/or deleting the .AppleDouble directory on the target directory fixed the issue. Now, when I create audiobooks, the are visible on the FreeNAS system.
