First off, let me say (AGAIN!) how much I LOVE AudioBook Builder. I've been using it for years, with only a couple of minor hiccups. And thank you for adding Auto-Save - it has been a blessing to me.

I have a friend, a fellow Audiobook Addict, with whom I trade "drugs". I'm teaching her to be a bit more self-sufficient, and we're having some problems getting her (purchased) ABB to work on her laptop. I'm thinking it just needs to be reinstalled, and I was wondering where all the "helper files" are located so I can have her trash those before reinstalling? Also, once she's up and running, would there be any reason she would not be able to open my previously processed ABB files (just easier than having to share the individual mp4 files)?

Thank you for this SUPER software!! I use it daily! Just as a little shout-out, another great program that works well in conjunction with ABB is Delicious Library (one must keep track of one's built books, or over time risk duplicating one's efforts....no need to ask me how I know this!!).

The only other file related to Audiobook Builder would be its preference file, which is: [Your user home folder]/library/preferences/com.splasm.audiobookbuilder.plist

If you are having specific troubles with Audiobook Builder, perhaps you could describe the issue or have your friend email directly so we can work through the issue. Let us know how we can help.

Thanks, Randy. The clean install didn't solve the problem. I'll have to get the specifics from her machine (iBook), but ABB still continues to quit unexpectedly. For instance, I'd taken a couple of built audiobooks on a CD, booted her ABB, selected Open an Existing Project, selected one of the built files (I tried both from the CD and after having saved it to her HD), but as soon as I clicked Open, ABB "quit unexpectedly". I found I could use "Create a New Project", and then click Add Files, and direct it to one of the built books, at which point it imported them (audio files only) and allowed me to "re build" the book, however without the cover art.

I thought it might just be a conflict between my version of ABB and hers (though both of us have the most recent) and while I did not try this, she told me when she starts a project "from scratch", when she reaches the finish/build part of a project, ABB always just quits, like it did for me.

Again, I will have to get her system info and repost it. And I should've thought to get a Crash Report. I'll include that as well. I did have her run Disk Utility and repair Permissions, but that does not seem to have helped.

I'll repost in a few days with more specific information and a crash report.
