Since I upgraded to Snow Leopard, I have noticed that more often than not (but not 100% of the time), part 1 of a multipart book works just fine, but will not allow me to edit any tags. The file is not locked in the finder, and I have the appropriate permissions (logged in under an Admin account).

This behavior continues even after a restart of iTunes and after a restart of the computer.

If I reimport the file from the finder to iTunes, everything works normally. In fact, this creates a duplicate iTunes listing of the first part (not the subsequent parts), but unlocks both the original iTunes part 1 and the new listing of the same file. Deleting either of the duplicates works without incident.
