Well i enjoy the software quite a bit, it's by far the easiest and the most efficient way to convert video but i'm having a couple problems with the output quality. I get these very distracting blocks across the video for absolutely no reason. They do not exist on the original file and they only seem to happen when i covert an MPG file. Example:

We haven't seen large blocking artifacts like that in our MPEG tests. Is this only happening to some of the MPEG files you ask Podner to process? Even though the source files don't exhibit the same issue in playback, we'd still like to get a look at one so we can duplicate the issue here. Do you have a small source file that you know Podner produces these artifacts with that you could send us? If the file is under 100MB you could send it via http://www.yousendit.com. If that's not an option you're welcome to message us via AOL Instant Messenger or iChat at screen name splasmsoftware, through which we can accept a file transfer. |
