Hi,

Can someone give me a pointer in the right direction. When I convert divx or xvid files with Podner I get corruptions (sideways jurking within the top half of the converted file.

I think it is something to do with the codec as I have converted files with other utils and still get the same problem. If I convert the same files on a PC I dont get the problem.

I have reinstall the codec etc but I am not very good with video thinks. Is there any advice you can give me?

Thanks

Cuffy

Let's see if we can isolate the issue to the files, the codec, or the export procedure:

1. Does each movie file exhibit the same symptom when you play it in QuickTime Player or the Podner movie view?

2. Have you tried exporting to both MPEG-4 and H.264 in Podner? Can you see the same sideways jerking with both formats?

I can answer the first question. The problem happens know matter what you use to play the files.

I have not converted to H.264 Yet, I will try that next.

I don't think it is that files as they convert fine on a PC with Xilisoft and it works file.

I will post when I get the H.264 results.

Thanks

I think you've confirmed that the issue is a combination of the files vs. the DivX codec on your Mac. With the issue occurring during playback there's really no reason to try H.264, because it should also receive the same distorted frames as MPEG-4.

Which DivX QuickTime component are you using there - DivX 6.0 or 3ivx D4 4.5?
